AOOA Jewelry Party

The AOOA hosted a wonderful get together to start the day off.  Here's a a shot I caught of the group before getting started.

After some chit-chat and enjoying some delicious hors d'oeuvres it was time to get busy making jewelry.

Wine & Cigar Pull Fundraiser

We had numerous donations coming in across the board with wine and cigar to help this fundraiser go off without a hitch.  We are so grateful for each and EVERY one of those donations.  This event would not have been possible without them and we fully recognize that and thank you all beyond words!!

There was seriously so much success from this event.  Here are some of the pictures we caught from the evening.

*Christmas Tea*

The AOOA hosts a Christmas Tea every year for the SAA members.  This year was specifically an English High Tea, with a fascinator (English hat) contest.

*Meal for Finals*

December 3-6, 2012

At the end of every fall semester we give the students a chance to get a week of home cooked meals.  We sell tickets a few weeks prior and then they can spend as much time studying at the school without having to worry about what they're going to eat.

We had a great meeting with lots if information this month.

Janelle, Apryl, and Joy went to National Convention this year. If you would like a T-shirt please get with Janelle. The crew neck is $10 and available in large and x-large. The V-neck is $11 and available in small and medium. They also have coffee mugs that are $10 each.

*Upcoming Events

-Playgroup this week will be Monday the 12th at Color Me Mine on 41st and Yale. Jessica will post the invite with all the info on fb. There is no seating fee on Monday, just the price of the pottery. There is no playgroup for the week of Thanksgiving.

-Thanksgiving Dinner will be the 15th at 6pm. If you would like to bring a dessert that would be great. The pies will be donated. We will have dinner with all the fixings, door prizes, and fun activities for the kids. Hope to see everyone there.

-Meals for Finals will be Dec. 3rd thru the 6th. We will have Spaghetti with salad and garlic bread, Crockpot Day (soups), Chili w/ the fixings, and Brinner (breakfast for dinner). If you would like help with this please let us know. Thanks.

-The next Girls Night Out will be November the 27th at Pinot Pallet. Great time to get together just us girls.

-Walli Daniel is hosting Christmas Tea on Dec. 1st at 11:30. There will be a hat contest which is optional. childcare will be provided at Allison Johnston home. Spouses are welcome. It will be $10 per person who is not SAA. Please let us know if you would like to attend.

*Promoting Manvocates
-Bowling Night Jan. 12th.

*If you would like to Sail Away with the SAA Feb 2nd-9th deposits are due Monday Nov. 12th and the final payment is due Nov. 19th. Deposits are $250 and completely refundable until the day before final payment. Deposit does toward the final payment. Families are more than welcome.
  -Prices are as follows: Inside cabin $520 pp, Ocean View $570 pp, and Balcony is $770 pp.
Fundraiser! $50 per cabin for organization. Please get with Janelle if you would like to go.

*The next meeting will be December 4th at 7:30. It will be at Janelle's and we will be doing a Cookie exchange and a gift exchange. The budget for the gifts will be $10.

Spook-O-Ween

Well Spook-O-Ween 2012 has come and gone.  Its hard to believe it's already over.  We had so much fun and I honestly wouldn't have been able to pull it off with all of my AWESOME volunteers!!!  I can't go without saying how awesome the students did this year.  We set up boxes every year for candy donations and they exceeded, we had TONS of candy.
