Christmas Tea

Today was our annual Christmas Tea with the AOOA and ATOMS members.  It was a great time of eating and conversation, two of my favorites.

Special thanks to:
Adair Johnson for opening her home.

AOOA & ATOMS for providing all of us with AMAZING giftcards. (Which I left at her house, bummer.)
And Beverly's girls for watching the kiddos upstairs so some of us mommies could enjoy "grown-up" time.
Oh and THANK YOU to whoever made that crazy awesome cheesecake.  =)

Also, Thanksgiving dinner will be a week from tonight!

Speaking of tonight its not too late to join in on the social night at Cosmo Cafe!  People will start arriving around 8, so if you're on the fence about going you haven't missed it yet.

Playgroup Madness!

This week we've had 2 playgroups!! One planned and one just spur of the moment.

Our first date was at the Bixby Fire Station.  We got a tour of their quarters and got to sit in a REAL fire truck!!

Look at those sweet babies!

This may sound weird but I thought the grill/entire front of the fire truck was beautiful!

Our tour group leaders.

Group picture before Miss Averi decided to take a dive.

This morning we all met up for a random, but fun, trip to the zoo!

Some of the kiddos enjoying the view of the monkeys.
Most of them were inside because it was actually pretty warm.

Next, we were on to the elephants which everyone enjoyed.
Especially Miss Aubrey.

The tortoises were a hit.

The lion put on a show for us, while he played with whatever that big blue thing is.  =)

Mr. Rockstar himself, Scout, wasn't too impressed with the penguins.

Hadley trying to warm up to Tour Group Leader: Harmony, to find out our next destination.

Miss Aubrey waiting ever so patiently for the train to arrive.

ALL ABOARD!

A beautiful day for a train ride.

Hope to see you at the next playgroup at Bekah's house!

ATOMS Meeting

This afternoon some of the officers attended the Auxiliary to the Tulsa Osteopathic Medical Society (ATOMS) luncheon.
It was a great time to meet some of the wives of the doctors who will possibly have our spouses in future rounds. (Or current as Amanda found out.)
It was also a great time of learning a little more about ATOMS and what they do.
Oh and most importantly it was a great time of consuming some AMAZING food!

One of the members, Donna Cannon, is actually a Chef and taught us a little about the menu she was making for us, which included handouts of all her recipes from today.
(She also teaches 2 cooking classes a month at The Stock Pot.)

Menu:
Mozzarella Cheese Bread
Oven-Fried Zucchini Sticks with Marinara Sauce
Roasted Garlic Soup
Rotisserie Chicken Pasta Salad w/ Balsamic Vinaigrette
Tiramisu Ice Cream Cake

SAA members with Beverly Harjo and ATOMS President, Kristin Halsell.
It was a great gathering!
